What's Changing This Year?
What is the MOVE Summer Program?
The MOVE Summer Program is a 5 day experience dedicated to empowering young women, through education on issues such as media, self confidence, body positivity, the importance of getting help, and more.
A typical day at the MOVE summer program includes presentations, guest speakers, videos, time for meaningful conversations in small groups, activities (both in small groups and the full group), games and much more.
The MOVE Summer Program is proudly led by a specially selected group of passionate, relatable, and enthusiastic young, female leaders that will be sure to make the experience unforgettable.
We are unbelievably proud to announce that we will be hosting two summer programs this year!!
Here’s why: Over the past two years, the MOVE summer program has greatly expanded from 43 girls to 70. This summer, due to the success of our many workshops, we are expecting to work with 100 girls! We take MOVE seriously, and want to best work with every girl of every age. Therefore, we are adding on an additional week to best accommodate all girls and to provide the most excellent, age-appropriate content out there!
The first week of the summer program will be available to girls entering 7th, 8th, and 9th grade. The second week will be open to girls entering 9th, 10th, or 11th grade. Girls entering 9th grade have the option of doing either week, or even both weeks! We gave 9th grade girls the option of both because the content presented is developmentally appropriate at both. We believe that the summer program will become even more close knit and in depth with this exciting change :)
Session One (for incoming 7th, 8th, and 9th graders) : July 24th to July 28th *NOW FILLED*
Session Two (for incoming 9th, 10th, and 11th graders) : August 7th to August 11th
Both summer programs run from 9am to 3pm prompt, with registration opening at 8:30 am each morning.
Both summer programs will be hosted at the Saint John's event hall, complete with classrooms and open outside space. The address is 20 Church Street in Hopkinton, Massachusetts.
What is the cost?
The MOVE Summer Program is $185 per girl. If your daughter is entering 9th grade, and wants to do both weeks, the fee is a discounted $315. That being stated, one of the key values of MOVE is accessibility. This is reflected in both our fee and our scholarship program - if you need a discounted fee, please do not hesitate to email email@example.com...Our mission is our message, and we genuinely want every girl who is interested to be able to attend.
What should girls bring?
Girls are encouraged to wear comfortable clothing, so that way they can participate in early-morning or lunchtime games with no restrictions.
